  • Comfort & Relaxation: My studio sessions can take up to four hours to ensure we have plenty of time to settle your baby. You can relax on the sofa while I work my magic, capturing stunning images that you’ll cherish forever.

  • Customized Newborn Photography: During your session, I’ll use several different set-ups tailored to you and your baby. We’ll discuss colour choices and themes when your baby arrives and your session date is booked. Sibling and family photos are included as part of two of my newborn photography packages.

  • Seamless Experience: After your session, I’ll edit the images and deliver them via a watermarked online gallery within 2-3 weeks. You’ll be able to select your favourite photos, which will then be finalised and delivered to you. Any prints included in your package will be delivered directly to your home. We handle everything, so you don’t have to worry about a thing—especially with a newborn to care for!

Newborn Photography FAQs

When Should I Book?

You can book your session any time after your 12 week scan. Limited bookings are taken each month to allow for some flexibility with rescheduling if baby arrives early or late.

Although it is best to photograph babies when they are under three weeks old I am happy to do newborn photography sessions up to around 6 weeks, so I will do my best to fit you in, even if you’ve left it a little late to book!

Can I Bring My Other Kids/ Dog?

Family and sibling photos are included in the Silver & Gold sessions as standard. If you have a dog who is an important part of the family, ask me about bringing them along for a few photographs.

What Happens If My Baby Wont Sleep?

I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to ensure your baby will be content and relaxed throughout the session, some babies take longer to settle than others but this is absolutely fine! Whilst they are awake we will capture adorable images of your baby wide eyed!

 

If your baby is wide awake after having a good kick and look around, I will wrap baby up and go onto prop images, wrapping babies, without fail, ALWAYS makes them drift off to sleep, this is because they will be lovely cosy & snuggled up and this reminds them of being back in Mummy's Tummy!

Many of the naked posed shots do require them to be in a deep sleep. It can sometimes take a little while to get but we always get there in the end! – this is why some sessions take 3 hours…or more!!

What Happens If My Baby Wont Stop Crying?

This is very, very rare! I have years of experience photographing newborn babies. If a baby is unhappy it is usually just a process of elimination to work out what the problem is. Sometimes it take a little patience but we always get there in the end.

What Do We Need To Bring With Us?

  • Lots of nappies & wipes.

  • Several bottles if bottle feeding. Baby may seem even more hungry than normal during the session so bring extra!

  • If your baby takes one, please bring a dummy.

  • Any special teddies or heirloom items you may wish to include in some photos.​

​

Do You Provide All The Props And Accessories?

Yes. I have a huge collection of props, backdrops, fabric wraps, tiebacks, bonnets, tiny teddies… You do not need to provide any outfits for baby (unless you wish for them to be photographed in a particular outfit) as they will either be swaddled, partially covered with a blanket or naked.
